samir

Samir Hadzimusic

Coach

Samir Hadzimusic has every minute coaching in the Nancy Greene program.  Skiing is a great way to stay outdoors and active while having fun, lots of fun. Working with kids makes it even more fun as you get to watch them grow and improve day by day, week by week and year over year. It is amazing to see kids go through the program, move through different level groups and make it to the podium at a major ski race. Every day they teach me something new on the chair, whether it is a new song, game, puzzle or other”.

“I also have 2 kids of my own in the SMSC. They both love the mountain and skiing with their friends in the club”.

“At Sasquatch Mountain Ski Club we have a great group of coaches and volunteers who work together and are committed to providing the best training for the athletes in the safest way possible. None of this however would be possible without the support of parents. Thank you for bringing your kids to training and filling their pockets full of motivation”.

Walker Eliason

Coach

“I started ski racing at White Pass, Washington when I was 7 and ski raced as an athlete until I was 16 years old. After that I immediately transitioned into coaching at White Pass for 2 years, and then another 4 years at Bridger Bowl in Montana while attending Montana State University. I took at break from coaching until 4 years ago when my daughter,Ellie, and son,Jax, were old enough to join Nancy Greene at Sasquatch. My wife Caryn is avid skier as well. We both love the sport, we both enjoy watching kids get their skis on edge, ski black diamonds that scare their parents, and go faster than they thought they were capable of. Ski racing is a great sport for kids to build life skills that can carry them into adulthood, but also makes them good skiers for the rest of their life as well! And I think its really cool that I get to be a part of experience with them as a coach.

I started skiing with the SMSC when I was about 7 and skied with alpine until I was about 13. I continued to ski casually before starting my first season as a Nancy Greene coach. I hope to continue improving both as a skier and a ski coach.
